Ability to read and locate information, understand applied technology, use/apply basic and some intermediate math skills, observe and listen well, communicate well verbally/writing, and lead/participate on a team well. Minimum Requirements – HS Diploma/GED (Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is a plus)
Implement continuous improvement projects utilizing lean manufacturing principles. Willingness to work with other departments/value streams and also transfer to other departments/value streams as needed or for development purposes. Also, conduct necessary training for the team on things such as annual safety topics or new policies/procedures, etc. Orientate and train, or direct the training, for new or transferred employees. Also, completes positive/negative corrective action documents, performance review documents, and necessary meetings with employees. Assisting with employee concerns as needed and sometimes working with the Value Stream Manager and the HR Department when issues arise. Responsible for ensuring a safe work environment (includes following all policies/procedures, ensuring that employees follow policies/procedures, participating on safety teams, member of the First Aid Safety Team). Responsible for inventory including following material procedures, data entry, return of unused material to the warehouse, and participating in work-in-process and physical inventories. Capable of completing all production jobs within assigned value stream and, relieve employees, if necessary. Responsible for directing production activities including assisting with material handling, making box tickets, producing tally sheets, providing proper production tools, maintaining data sheets. Accountable for safety, labor efficiency, quality, teamwork, schedule attainment, and other performance metrics. Will direct daily production by assigning employees to work activities based on production schedule. 
The Production Lead will assist the Value Stream Manager with management of the department including managing production, assigning work, addressing employee issues including discipline, communicating with other departments, managing overtime and scheduling, and adhering to budgets.
